A good, clean gym but I have a few complaints around pricing. I signed up for a membership with a 12 week commitment (which appears to be the longest commitment you could get). A month into my membership, I’ve already been notified that my dues are increasing at the end of this cycle. Every gym I’ve been to previously has 6,12, or even 24 month commitments so users can lock in a set price. I like the gym but having a price increase almost immediately was disappointing.
Good gym but they don’t seem to actually consider customer suggestions
When I'd come home from college I came here and now that I've graduated I'm looking for a long term gym. I've been trialing others in the area but everything is far too expensive and not big enough to justify the price. GymIt is definitely the best value I've seen, but does anyone know if they've put mirrors in front of all those squat racks? Or if they're going to soon? It's the only thing preventing me from joining again. Having a mirror when I squat/deadlift is big for me and I think they only have 2 other squat racks with mirrors, but I'd always have to wait for those.
Not the best but not the worst. Any customer complaints are not taken seriously and you will receive a rude email from the director of operations gaslighting you of your concerns. Surveys are not anonymous either, they will email and harass you if it is not a perfect score.
After being a member for more than ten years I cancelled my membership because they refused to get a few new exercise mats. They also took away the mats they had. And they suggested me to bring my own. There are so many dumbbells but no mats. Not everyone has to or wants to lay down on the floor where there are millions of germs.
Clean space and equipment, very friendly staff, comfortable massaging chair, big parking lot, reasonable price. I enjoy exercising at this gym. I think this gym cares about people and their experience. Highly recommend.
Horrible. I came on Saturday morning and there was wat too many people. There was a wait for every single machine.
The Watertown location used to be less crowded but they have signed up too many new members it makes it difficult to find a bench during peak times. Even off peak can be difficult. On the plus side they continuously make improvements and add new equipment. The staff is nice and it's very clean and organized. My only other complaint is the lockers and shower area is much colder than the workout area which isn't the best on cold days. Overall this is a decent gym.
This is one of those places that I like SO much that I don’t want to write a review because I fear it’ll make it too popular to workout at. But they really do deserve the affirmations. I can’t speak to the trainers, but the front desk folks are all kind and chill, rates are a STELLAR value, and the management/owners are highly responsive. These folks run a quality gym. Why would anyone ever go to a Planet Fitness or BSC when this is an option is beyond me…
My only current wish would be: extend hours a bit later (I’m a night owl), and maybe expand your footprint up into the commercial space available upstairs? I can dream..
